Who is eligible for in-home care?

Medicare has specific guidelines in order to qualify for in-home care. The list below outlines why a person would be a candidate for in-home medical care.

• Require an assistive device to walk (cane, walker, wheelchair, etc)

• Need help leaving the home (special transportation, relies on others to walk)

• Medical or cognitive condition that would make leaving home unsafe

• Leaving home would require undue burden or a considerably taxing effort

Do I have to pay extra for this service?

It depends on your medical plan. As long as you qualify for in-home care and have Medicare coverage, you should not have to pay any extra to be a patient at VIA Orthopedics. If you have private insurance coverage, your out of pocket expenses will be determined by your specific plans details.

The treatment you receive from VIA Orthopedics is billed the same as if you were to be seen in a typical clinic setting.
